| Dora (The Explorer) figured out how to get on top of my cabinets. I’m so glad my big bowl supported her weight! Last Saturday I went to the Vintage Tulsa Show in Tulsa, Oklahoma to do some last-minute recruiting for next week’s Zonta Antique Show. I talked to exhibitors for over 7 hours. I picked up a couple new exhibitors, visited with many I know, and made sure to get the news traveling about the November 7-8 Bella Rustina in Rogers. The Zonta Antique Show will in February 28-March 2 in Longview, Texas, and is in its 50th year. This year we’re trying something new – We’ll have antiques-related presentations by exhibitors in the lobby of the Maude Cobb Convention Center. I was originally concerned no one would want to participate, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how many exhibitors volunteered to speak on topics like how to care for silver and tell which period it comes from, how to tell the difference between different silver and gold types, information about costume jewelry, when/how to have an estate sale, different types of African artifacts, and much more. I’ve been pretty stressed gathering exhibitors and presenters for this show, but it’s all coming together and I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
