| I overbooked myself last weekend, but it was a blast. I promised Taimi I’d help her with her Crossfit competition, ARX Slam, weeks ago, but I didn’t bother to ask what the times were. I assumed it would be like Festivus and start early on Saturday and be over by the afternoon, so when a friend asked if I would bring my 360 photo to her birthday party Saturday evening I figured it would work out perfectly. Then I found out the birthday party and the competition were at the same time! I got creative and helped Taimi set up the workout floor on Friday. On Saturday I dropped off the 360 photo and taught the birthday girl how to operate it in Benton, drove to the State Fairgrounds in Little Rock for the competition until it was over for the day, and then high-tailed it back to Benton to pick up my 360 photo machine. Everything worked out great. The competition went through Sunday. I got to help with submitting scores, taking videos for social media, judging competitors, and loading weights for competitors. One amazing lady did a 180-pound clean and jerk! The whole competition was a really neat experience and I look forward to helping with more in the future.
