Shopping SoMa

Today I decided to drop off promotional cards for the Antique Alley Arkansas Antique Show to shops in Little Rock. After visiting Sweet Home Furnishings’s new location and the brand new Moxy Modern Mercantile, both located on South Main St. in Little Rock, I thought it would be fun to share photos of these awesome shops. Both shops are packed full of wonderful eye candy. Sweet Home Furnishings is filled with wonderfully displayed hard-to-find antiques while Moxy Modern Mercantile sells new and old things displayed on awesome antique furniture.

I visited Sweet Home Furnishings first. Their new address is 1324 South Main in a super cool building. Here’s a photo of their building I took from their Facebook page from while they were moving in:

I was greeted by Chris Clement and this wonderful display as I walked in the door:

Another favorite vignette was this cabinet below. I love how everything is looking Spring-y!

Trunks like this one are pretty difficult to find:

I absolutely love this desk. It’s so funky!

Last but not least is this super cool medical display cabinet:

Chris suggested I check out Moxy Modern Mercantile and I’m so glad I did!  They are located within walking distance from Sweet Home Furnishings at 1419 South Main. As I walked in I noticed music from way-back-when was playing on a nearby record player.

Everything is so well displayed. The artwork looks great with this old metal desk:

I also loved this vignette:

This sink is one of those that is highly sought after. It looks so cool displaying new bath items:

I really enjoyed shopping these places today. These are not the only awesome shops near South Main.  There’s also East Ninth Vintage and InRetrospec as far as I know. I didn’t get a chance to visit them today, but I’ll share photos from previous visits. 🙂

East Ninth Vintage is located at 406 East Ninth St. They have lots of vintage items.

I especially love to see their “booth” when they set up at the South Main Vintage Market. They have a teardrop trailer that has a kitchen in the back, which is perfect to display vintage items in! I got this photo from their Facebook page:

Inretrospec is located at 1201 Center Street. They have vintage clothing and antiques/vintage. Here are a couple photos from my visit last year:

Next time you’re looking for some new neat shops to visit, be sure to check out the SoMa area. I think you’ll be impressed with how talented these shop owners are! 🙂
