Upcoming Estate Sales and Auctions for October 5 – 8

*|MC:SUBJECT|*

I finally found some real vintage tobacco baskets last week! I contacted an exhibitor who has a shop who had posted tobacco baskets on her Facebook page. She said she didn’t have enough to sell, so I asked her about a show in her town that said they’d have real tobacco baskets. She told me she was participating in that show and would let me know the price of the baskets. She called me Thursday afternoon with the price and I was on the road super early Friday morning for Tennessee. So next weekend, October 13-15, I’ll have real tobacco baskets for sale.

Another thing I wanted for Bella Rustina was pumpkins. I had hoped a local farm or garden center would come set up a booth, but the ones I called just laughed at me since this is their busy season. One of my exhibitor’s daughter had an event last weekend in Mena where she bought pumpkins to decorate/sell and she announced on Facebook that she wanted to find someone to buy them. She sold them to me below wholesale and her dad brought them to me in North Little Rock, so now we’ll have over 70 pumpkins next weekend. There are regular, fancy, and even huge ones. The huge ones are 50-66 lbs. The 60+ pound ones are just about more than I can handle so I’ve got one pumpkin riding shotgun in my truck and the other two are in the crew cab and they probably will stay there until the show so I don’t break my back moving them again. They are really pretty white pumpkins, though!

Everything is coming together for Bella Rustina next weekend: We have one of the best and most diverse exhibitor lineups yet. I really can’t wait for setup day!
