As I patiently wait for confirmation of the July Bella Rustina dates in Maumelle, I have been working in my storage building (a detached garage by our house that I have packed to the gills) to make room for those carts I purchased a few weeks ago that have been hanging out in our back yard since they are too tall for my trailer. Big Caleb keeps reminding me that we can’t be model Maumelle citizens with those carts in the back yard, so it has been my task this week to find them shelter. Of course just as soon as I make room I stumble across an online auction of a wedding rental store in my home town with 104 folding chairs. With those nice cloth covers used in weddings. Meanwhile I have 50 rusty folding chairs I use for my shows that I drove to the ReStore in Ft. Smith to purchase back in 2015 for the first Bella Rustina. They had hundreds of chairs donated by a rental place, but I had to dig to find 50 good ones. They’ve served us well, but I’ve been looking for better looking chairs and these are totally it. I got them for a fair price, so tomorrow I’ll be picking them up. I feel like such a nerd because I’m excited about the adventure even though it’ll be a bunch of work, most likely in the rain. Good news is I was able to make room in my building for the chairs and carts AND I even picked out a few things I can sell on Facebook. I have a rolling wire pastry shelf and rolling gridwall display that I purchased when the former Maumelle Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market auctioned off their stuff that I’ve had all this time and never used, so I’m going to pass them on. I also plan to pull out that motorized Wal-Mart shopping cart to sell since that was not one of my best purchases. Funny how things sound like a brilliant idea when I’m bidding, but afterwards the thought of a customer plowing through a booth or group of customers at one of my shows in the cart made me reconsider. Once I sell those things I might even have spare room for whatever great find I stumble upon next. 😀

It is packed full of really cool antique items. Many tiger oak pieces, glass ware, vintage street signs (not stolen), tables, chairs, pictures, pedal cars, license plates, bottles, beds, several unbelievable consignment pieces and much more.
Several of our vendor friends will be set up outside. And we still have room for more fellow junk hoarders to come join us. $25 bucks for as much space as you need. Doors open at 9:00 am and we will be there all day.
