Oh, the joys of young children and Easter candy. Little Caleb made the mistake of laying down his chocolate bunny today and Joshua didn’t hesitate to snatch it and make it his own. I didn’t worry about him eating too much of it because he got most of it on himself and me. On top of the Easter candy shenanigans, Joshua has more or less started walking. He’ll walk around six steps and then crawl the rest of the way. This is perfect timing as it’s shorts weather and I hate to see him crawling on the ground or pavement.
My goal now that I have a small break from shows is to get back to focusing on “Ashley’s Finds”. I find great stuff all the time, but I don’t always have time to take photos. I also want to get back to going to estate sales more often. My boys love to look and shop so it should be doable. We went to the Goodwill on Markham yesterday and Little Caleb found a dinosaur toy for under $5 that sold on eBay recently for over $100. He’s played with it almost constantly so we won’t sell it anytime soon, but it’s fun to watch his inner junker come out.
One of my favorite recent finds is a Camark pottery lady. I bought it from Tony Freyaldenhoven, one of our local pottery gurus, during the last Bella Rustina in Little Rock. I’ve never seen one before, so I am excited to add it to my Camark collection.
