I love it when I leave an estate sale with a smile on my face thinking “That was fun!”. I don’t drag Joshua out to estate sales very often, but when I saw the quantity of Hallmark ornaments in Bette Bogart’s sale last weekend, I had to go check it out. I’ve shared before that I worked at Hallmark during college and that job is the reason I’m a junker today (and a fantastic gift wrapper). For the last almost 20 years (man, I’m getting old) I’ve collected Hallmark ornaments each year, but I’ve never come across Hallmark ornaments with their original boxes from the 70s in the wild before. They were in such great condition I bought many of the 70s ornaments I found in the sale. With Joshua wriggling free and leading me on a wild goose chase through the house every chance he got, I didn’t get a chance to look up the value of the ornaments as I shopped. Most of them are worth what I paid for them. Normally I don’t like purchasing collectibles unless I can sell them at that moment for a good profit, but this is one of those times where I don’t mind paying what they are worth. They are so neat! I’m proud of the family for taking good care of the ornaments all these years and I hope to keep them preserved for many years to come. Little Caleb enjoyed looking through them with me after I picked him up from pre-school. He likes watching Donald Duck cartoons and loved the Donald Duck ornament I found for him. Here are a handful of my favorite ornaments I found last weekend:

Looks like there are a bunch of sales this weekend. Here are the ones I know about:
