I am getting creative while staying at home. I ordered some Bella Rustina shirts a couple years ago and the sales rep accidentally ordered the wrong shirt color. I hated for the shirts to go to waste so I took a small discount on the shirts and bought them anyway. Recently I was inspired by a tie-dyed shirt advertisement on Facebook, so I ordered a tie-dye kit to create some “limited edition” Bella Rustina shirts using those leftover light gray shirts. I have dyed one shirt (in my size in case I mess it up) and will know tomorrow how it turns out. I’m not sure how the dye will do on a gray shirt, but I’ll let y’all know next week. The things a mind will come up with to do to avoid housework, doing taxes, and pre-k homework! 😀

5.) How did you get involved with estate sales?
A close friend of my family’s passed away I was asked to do his Estate Sale. I asked another friend to help and we rallied together to do this huge sale in the Heights area. I then joined forces with Nancy Franske and Adrienne Cockrill and we partnered together for several years.
6.) What’s the most interesting thing you’ve found in a sale?
We have found some amazing treasures over the years. Some include rare stamp collections, amazing coin collections that the family had searched for but could not find. But the most memorable was finding $100 dollar bills taped down in closets, cabinets, drawers, and shelves. They were being left for a surviving family member still living in the home to find and use as needed. These gestures pull at the heartstrings.

This was going to be a traditional estate sale but the virus ruined that! This is a house full of many great items from past to present. See all the pics at the below link. Only one person or couple at a time. We have latex gloves and hand sanitizer at the entry to be smart. Written offers are welcome however I am not really sure when we will actually get to the point of looking at them. Everything is kind of up in the air right now for obvious reasons. Social distancing is required. We do take this very seriously as I have a parent that does not need to be exposed to the virus. Hopefully this will be public at some point but we just don’t know so this seems to be the smart safe way to go about this. We are a private couple not an estate sale company so there are probably some bargains for all you resellers out there.
