I hope y’all are keeping up with what day of the week it is better than I am. I usually can keep my holiday weeks straight, but I’ve struggled this week. Of course these days, being as we pretty much stay at home, the only harm done is I forgot to put out our recycling yesterday.
I have tie-dyed twenty-seven Bella Rustina shirts trying to keep my sanity during this pandemic. Twenty-seven. I counted them yesterday and was immediately embarrassed. However, I’ve enjoyed every minute working on them and it broke up the monotony of all the chores and projects I have to do around the house (plus they may sell!), so it probably saved me from burnout.
Today I was working on taking photos to announce my “2020 Limited Edition” Bella Rustina tie-dye shirts when little Caleb whipped around the corner in his underwear and stood beside my work-in-progress and told me to take his photo. I figured he wanted me to send the photo to his Granny so I obliged. After I showed him his photo, he said, “That is fantastic! Send it to the world!” His excitement made it hard for me to keep a straight face. I decided it would be best that the whole world didn’t see him in his underwear, but I did want to record the memory.
I’ve started working on the July 10-12 Bella Rustina Modern Vintage Market that will be in Conway. I’ve decided to open up the show on Friday-Sunday this time to spread out the crowd and help with social distancing. This week I’m working on TV commercials, next week I’ll submit the billboard designs, and the ball will keep on rolling until the show. I sent out an email to my exhibitors a couple weeks ago and the show is already almost completely booked. We’re all more than ready to get back to work doing what we love with a few changes that will help keep everyone safe.
