Joshua turned 2 yesterday and we had such a fun day. The Maumelle Police Department drove by our house to give Joshua a little parade with lights and sirens. They have been doing this for kids all over the city during COVID-19 and it’s pretty neat. His Granny and Pa were in town and they stopped by (which thankfully allowed me to run around town picking up last-minute birthday stuff and mail around 12 tie-dye shirts and almost 20 packages of Bella Rustina promo cards to exhibitors for the July 10-12 event). Joshua’s favorite gifts are a battery-operated car and a garbage truck monster truck (the perfect combination of his favorite things). His brother had a great day too because he found a gorgeous turtle with bright orange and yellow spots in our flower bed – These days nothing beats catching a reptile in the yard. Thankfully I talked him into releasing it because I don’t need anymore pets to take care of. I’m sure we’ll see the turtle (or one of his buddies or family members) again soon.
