Upcoming Estate Sales and Auctions for February 18-21

Holy Moly, who ordered all this snow? Neither of my boys have experienced a real snow until now. Only thing is it’s so cold outside and the snow is so deep they can’t fully enjoy it because we don’t have the proper attire. I resorted to tying plastic bags around Little Caleb’s shoes to avoid his feet getting wet. Years ago I ordered some snow boots for Little Caleb and they now fit Joshua perfectly. The first round of snow didn’t seem to “stick” to make a snowman. We’ll try again tomorrow. Our old sled just sinks in the snow, so we haven’t figured that out either. I have a vintage “trash can lid”-type sled we hope to try.

We have been battling our hot water pipes freezing. It all started when our clothes washer wouldn’t work on Monday. A space heater in our laundry room didn’t help, so yesterday we hooked up our torpedo heater and blew heat under the house (Big Caleb didn’t leave it unattended and had a fire extinguisher handy). That thawed our hot water pipes, but not the drain to the clothes washer, so water went into the floor instead of draining. I caught it before it made a big mess. Tomorrow it may warm up enough for the pipes to stop freezing. If not, I will use a bucket to allow the water to drain.

I appreciate everyone who supported Bella Rustina last weekend. The snow made it tough, but I am grateful for each and every exhibitor and customer who made it happen. This is my first event out of over fifty in 10 years that has been directly affected by snow, so we can now say we’ve had shows during snow, monsoon-like rain, tornadoes, sleet, extreme heat, and everything else Arkansas weather can throw at us. The March 5-7 Antique Alley Arkansas Antique Show is coming up at the same 9300 Maumelle Boulevard location and I have some fabulous antique exhibitors signing up who have never joined Antique Alley Arkansas before. The show has the potential to be incredible and if customers support it, I’ll be able to bring Antique Alley Arkansas to the Little Rock area again in the future.

Hopefully the snow will melt in time for the sales this weekend. Here’s what I know:
