What began as an overnight stay in Branson turned into 3 days of great fun with my boys! Last Wednesday we went to the new aquarium in Branson. On Thursday we spent the whole day at the Splash Country Indoor water park. All day as in 12PM to 8:30PM! Little Caleb enjoyed his time in the wave pool while Joshua and I went down the giant waterslides over and over. On Friday we played indoor putt-putt golf and went to the Queen Esther performance at the Sight and Sound Theater. I really wanted to see the performance, but was concerned the boys would get bored during the 2.5 hour show. They loved it! I thought it was spectacular myself. We had the most amazing time – This may be our new Spring Break tradition!
I normally wouldn’t post a photo of myself in a swimsuit, but I wasn’t able to wear that swimsuit last year! I’m so excited I have lost over 50 pounds! Last year after the November Bella Rustina I felt awful and went to Urgent Care and found out my blood pressure was over 190/130. The shows were killing me and my diet and sleep habits weren’t helping. I hired a nutrition/life coach, hired more help for my shows, and continued with my newfound love of Crossfit to get where I am today. Today I went to the doctor and my blood pressure is almost in the healthy zone. I am taking blood pressure medication, but my doctor and I are hoping I eventually won’t need it. I turn 40 in June and hope to lose another 30+ pounds by my birthday. My mom found some jeans of mine from back when I was in college and I can wear them, which is so hard to believe! I’m loving feeling healthier and stronger every day.
