| Last Thursday I had a booth at the Women’s Leadership Network’s Women’s Business Showcase. I used some old doors for my backdrop and brought vintage and handmade from my collections to show off items representing my events. I had fun telling people about Bella Rustina, Bella on the Boulevard, and Antique Alley Arkansas, but the best fun was watching Taimi in the booth next door. She will be hosting a roller skating event at the Conway Expo Center this Friday from 3:30PM-10:00PM, so she set up a booth to tell people about it. She wore her roller skates all day and played super-fun 80s and 90s music in her booth. It was awesome to see people across the venue dancing to the music she was playing. Everyone seems excited about Roll Haus so we’re hoping for a great turnout! On Saturday I participated in the Murph run, which is a workout which pays tribute to fallen Navy SEAL Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy. It consists of a 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups (I did ring-rows), 200 push-ups, and 300 squats, followed by another 1-mile run. If that wasn’t enough, Taimi invited me to join her on Monday to do it again while wearing a 14-pound vest. I walk every day wearing the vest with 20 pounds and often wonder if I could do Murph wearing it. I gave it a try since Taimi planned to do the workout wearing her vest and I didn’t know anyone at her gym (in case I failed). I survived and it only took me 10 minutes longer (58 minutes) to do Murph wearing the vest. I’m thrilled I was able to do it! We’ve got a great list of sales for this weekend.
