| I had the best time with my boys last weekend! I found out last-minute I would get to have them for the weekend. My plans had fallen through and I really needed to get out of the house, so I decided to take the boys to see the play David at Sight and Sound Theater in Branson on Saturday since that play’s season ends October 8. For months we had talked about going to see the Supermotocross World Cup at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena on Saturday, but the friends we had planned to go with had to change plans. I was afraid the boys might not like it, so I chickened out on buying tickets, especially when the prices per ticket ballooned to over $200 each closer to the event. As we made our way to Sight and Sound theatre, we passed signs for Thunder Ridge. I had no idea we’d be so close when I made the plans to see David! We saw the 3:30PM play and were finished around 6:30. We went to dinner and I Googled if it was possible to view the Supermotocross event from afar just to get an idea of what the event was like. Google told me there was no way, but I could purchase last-minute resale tickets even though the event had already started. I got tickets for $40 each! We missed a little bit of the racing, but it was totally worth it. We had casually watched the Supercross events all summer on TV, but there’s nothing like watching it in real life. The look on Caleb’s face the first time he heard the 250 and 450 motorcycles fire up was priceless. Joshua was really into it too and asked repeatedly if he could get a motorcycle. We spent the night in Branson and visited the Aquarium, the Titanic museum, and played putt-putt golf on Sunday before coming home. We had the best time – sometimes impromptu trips are the best! Bella on the Boulevard is this weekend in Maumelle. I’ve been watching the weather and it’s looking like the rain chances for Saturday have thinned out, so we should be able to proceed as planned. I’ll be going on THV’s The Vine Friday morning to talk about the market. We’ve got some great vendors signed up – I’m looking forward to it! We have a big list of sales this weekend.
