| We celebrated Caleb’s 12th birthday on Saturday. We switched it up this year and had the party at Skyzone instead of at our house, which is both good and bad. Good because I didn’t spend the week deep-cleaning our house for guests and bad because I didn’t spend the week deep-cleaning for guests. Ha! Caleb thought he’d be funny and choose a dinosaur theme – he even picked out a childish dinosaur party invitation. I dug out his old dinosaur toys from the garage and cleaned them up for his cake. I’m afraid this will be the last year for kiddie stuff – his voice is getting deeper and he is already 5’4! He is turning into the ultimate band nerd while he learns to play the baritone. He tells me he is doing really well in Band and can hit difficult high notes and I have no idea what he is talking about, but I’m excited he’s excited. Taimi is bringing one of her skate events to Maumelle at Millwood Station this Saturday. Her plan is to have roller skating under the pavilion, a trunk or treat going on in the little parking lot, and vendor booths on the grass. She is looking for more vendors ($60) and trunk or treat vehicles (free), so if you’re looking for a place to sell your merchandise or advertise your business, be sure to reach out.
