Today I went to the funeral of a good friend. Jim Payseno lived in Maumelle and made a difference in so many people’s lives over the years. He was Santa to my boys every year during the Lion’s Club “Pancakes with Santa” event. What’s funny is we saw Jim around town all the time and the boys never made the connection! He helped a bunch of nonprofits – I typically saw him at the Counting on Each Other building and during city events. When I had Bella Rustina at the former Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market building, Jim would stop by to check on me. One time I rented a lift and borrowed a tilt-trailer so I could hang lighting in the building. Jim drove by as I was trying to figure out how to back the lift off the trailer and offered to help. He was very familiar with operating lifts so he saved me a bunch of time by helping. I looked everywhere for our selfie from the lift and can’t find it so I’ll have to share it at a later time. I will miss seeing Jim around town and will especially be sad when we have to find another Santa for our Christmas photos.

I hope you have a happy Easter weekend! Here are the sales I know about:

1105 Dobbins Dr.
Searcy, Arkansas 72143

This Searcy homeowner is downsizing, and there will be no space for her impressive stash of Dept 56 Heritage Villages, Tom Clark figurines, vintage Hallmark ornaments and Walt Disney Classic Collectible items.

This ONE DAY EVENT is part of a complete household sale that starts April 25 (see separate sale posting for that), but we are having an early sale to give collectors a chance to focus on this items without being rushed.

Collection includes four separate Dept 56 villages: New England Village (32 structures), Dickens Village (28 structures), North Pole Series (22 structures) and Christmas in the City (18 structures). There are dozens of lights and accessories for each, still in their original boxes.

In addition, there are more than 20 pieces from the Classics of Walt Disney Collection (circa 1990s) including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and more. All are in original boxes with authentication paperwork.

There are 52 Tom Clark carved figurines from the 1980s, including Christmas and Halloween themed pieces. There are 8 wildlife creatures signed by Tim Wolfe.

We are still sorting the bins full of vintage Hallmark ornaments, most in original boxes.

We are limiting the hours and number of people allowed in the house for this special event, but if you can’t make it on Tuesday, come back anytime over the weekend. We will be there from 10 AM Friday through 5 PM Sunday.

Items are priced individually, but we would entertain bids if you buy multiple items or the entire collection.
