The Vintage Tulsa Antique Show and the Tulsa Flea Market were awesome last weekend! My friend Robin and I drove to Tulsa after work on Friday so we’d be ready to do some recruiting first thing Saturday morning. Even though we started out early, we still didn’t get to talk to everyone. Of course there were around 160 exhibitors in all. That goal may have been a tad ambitious. We talked to most of them, though! 🙂
I visited my parents on Sunday and my mom gave me a 5-year journal that belonged to my great aunt. The years she wrote were from 1944 – 46. She was 17 when she began the journal, so it’s very interesting to read the journal of a young lady during wartime. I’m going to do my best to make time to scan as many pages as possible to share. The journal is way too cool not to share!
Looks like everyone saved up their sales for this weekend! It’s incredible how many we have to go to! Here’s what’s going on this weekend:

More glassware, tools, pottery, silverplate, and loads of parts and pieces will be among the treasures you will find.
Everything will sell in this huge two weekend sale.
Now the fine print:
The building is VERY full and quite dusty and dirty (like most old antique shops become). Some of the boxes have broken glass, rusty nails, and all sorts of hazards. We are cleaning as best we can but there is only so much that can be done in the time allotted. We recommend heavy duty clothing and gloves if you plan to dig. We’ve spread it out as much as possible.
We aren’t going so far as to ban children from the sale but this building is really no place for young kids so please keep this in mind when making plans to attend. You know your kids better than we do and know how they will react in a hectic and overwhelming (as well as potentially dangerous) environment. It’s not our intention to discourage anyone from coming but no one likes surprises. If you do bring your kids we recommend trying to keep them as close to the front as possible, where things are cleaner and better organized. Both ends of the building have loads of boxes for folks to rummage through and that’s where it gets pretty sketchy.
We reserve the right to limit admission if necessary. The city of Bryant Fire Department is very keen on shutting down buildings found to be over capacity and that is the last thing we want. Please be patient if we’re forced to make you wait. We want you inside shopping every bit as much as you want to be in there but even with 9000sf of space it’s going to fill up fast.
As always we will accept credit cards but this building is located in a bit of a dead zone as far as mobile reception. This means we have to step out the front door sometimes to get enough of a signal to process your card. Please bear with us and if possible bring cash or a local check to pay for purchases. We don’t mind accepting cards but you might have to wait a few minutes until someone can step out to run it.
We hate going to sales where not everything is priced as much as anyone but this is going to be one of those sales. As you can see from the photos if we tried to price every item this sale wouldn’t happen for quite some time. Most days there is only going to be one person able to make prices on items. We will get to everyone as quickly as possible but beg your patience in advance.
