My family attended my great aunt’s funeral Saturday morning. She was such a neat lady. She was born in Germany in 1925 and moved to the U.S. when she was young. She never got married and lived with her sister up until she passed in 2008. “Aunt D.” worked as a bookkeeper until she retired at 75 (we have a buncha workaholics in the family). She kept everyone in our family dressed in the latest duds — I was always so impressed that she kept up with the styles. I rarely had to buy new clothes because she was always sending some for every occasion! Even if it was someone else’s birthday, she’d still get something for everyone in the immediate family. I hope to get my hands on some photos of her from back in the day that I can share. I love old photos!
