Who knew after a beautiful day like Saturday that we’d have such a horrible storm on Sunday? I know bad weather was predicted, but I always hope that the forecast is completely wrong. A coworker that lives nearby told me the tornado was only about 2.5 miles from our homes. Thankfully it didn’t do any damage in our neighborhood. I was in Searcy visiting my parents on Sunday. After worrying about my hubby at home in Maumelle, I only had about 20 minutes before the tornado hit Center Hill about 3 miles from my parents’ house. Thankfully there was no damage where I was either, but it was a little too close for comfort! Every day when I drive by Mayflower on the way to work, I’m in awe of the damage done. I heard today they upped the tornado to an EF4 and I’d believe it! I’m keeping those affected by the storm in my thoughts and prayers — I cannot imagine what they are going through!
