Thanks so much to everyone who sent me words of encouragement for renting out my previous home, especially to Julie who emailed a solid contract I can use along with great advice! Over the weekend I learned that as soon as a home is dropped from the MLS, there’s a handful of realtors who will call and claim they will have better luck selling the home. One realtor caught my interest because he says he averages selling a house in 21 days and doesn’t even sign a contract more than 45 days. He even told me he only sells homes that have expired from the MLS, so I’m looking into giving him a shot before I dive into renting. He said that if the house doesn’t sell in the first couple of weeks, he has multiple buyers that could put down a large down payment on owner financing the home, which sounds great compared to renting. This should be interesting!
