Some have asked about Baby Norris and I have an update after an ultrasound last Friday. For the past couple of months the doctor has only measured my belly and checked for a heartbeat during my checkups, so I wasn’t sure how the baby was progressing other than I could tell he’s huge and strong. Sure enough, the doctor put the ultrasound wand to my belly and all I could see on the screen was a huge head. After taking a few other measurements, the computer calculated that Baby Norris already weighs around 5 pounds 12 ounces (with a month or so to go). The original due date was June 19, but the doc bumped it up to June 9th. I won’t be surprised (or sad) if it’s even earlier. We’re both doing great. My only complaints are I always feel like I need a nap and it has been feeling like 100 million degrees outside lately. Big Caleb loves it because I’m normally cold-natured and I’ve been cranking down the A/C.
There’s no time for naps right now, though. I finally, finally got a signed contract for having Bella Rustina in Maumelle July 13-15. I know that’s quick after having a baby, but I had the Antique Alley Arkansas Antique Show three weeks after Little Caleb was born, so I figure I can do it since I should have more recovery time. By having Bella Rustina in July I will have 2 months between each of the shows for the rest of the year rather than cramming the Maumelle show into October and only having a month in-between each. That will be much better for me and for the success of the shows.
