I’m getting started on my Bella Rustina projects. The September 6-8 event will be in Maumelle this time and I’m looking forward to it. I can’t wait to share all the new advertising I’ve been working on – the commercial is almost done and I’m trying something different with my billboards. I’m super excited I just had an exhibitor sign up who has a vintage Shasta camper that she sells boutique clothing and antiques/primitives out of. The former WalMart building is the perfect venue for it because we have the covered area at the entrance in case it rains (because it always rains). I’ve been gathering gas cans all summer and I put together my first group of jack-o-lantern gas cans last weekend. I put vinyl faces on the gas cans to give them personality. One of the gas cans had the spout caved in, so I decided to make that its nose (the bottom right one) and I think it turned out cute. I’m doing a giveaway that ends tonight on the Bella Rustina Facebook page for a choice of one of the ones in the photo. Whichever ones aren’t given away will be for sale at the show. I sold out last year so I’m bringing a few more this year.
I hope everyone with kids in school is having a great week. Little Caleb won’t start pre-k until the week of Labor day/Bella Rustina, so watch out toads, grasshoppers, crawdads, and anything else that crosses his path. A praying mantis landed on his leg last week out of nowhere and I thought he would jump out of his skin he screamed so loud. As soon as he figured out what it was he was elated. He plays with it for a little while and then puts it in my mums by the front door. That silly praying mantis has stayed in my mums for multiple days now in spite of Little Caleb disrupting it at least daily.
