I figured out the secret to getting in and out of the dealership quickly. I had an appointment for a recall fix and an oil change on Monday that was supposed to take up to 2.5 hours. I was not looking forward to entertaining Joshua (17 months old) that long because he is at that stage where he gets into everything, won’t stay in one spot for 5 seconds, and tries death-defying feats for fun. We were out of the dealership in an hour! I honestly don’t know if it was because of Joshua (surely not), but I was cracking up at how he would go from one salesman/woman’s cube to the next poking his head in and smiling, sometimes saying “Hiiiyeee!”, and giggling as I caught up with him before he would take off again. I’ve literally had tennis elbow since September from carrying Joshua everywhere because he makes a game of having me catch him every time I put him down. So I walk behind him at a safe distance and let him wear himself out. It’s win-win most of the time.
