I got back home from Longview, Texas Monday morning around 2:30AM. Show attendance was down, but the customers who came spent big and most exhibitors were happy, which is what matters most. My parents brought their fifth wheel and we camped on the premises of the convention center, which was awesome because I got to see my boys every morning, night, and sometimes in-between. The sleeping arrangements were supposed to be Little Caleb on the top bunk and Joshua and me on the bottom bunk, but it always ended up with all three of us sleeping on the bottom bunk. Joshua flops around like a fish while he sleeps so he ended up backwards at the foot of the bed multiple times.
Now I’m getting ready for Bella Rustina this weekend in Maumelle. The exhibitors who moved in today are amazing and I can’t wait to see what the exhibitors bring who load in Thursday.
Bella Rustina will have lots of quality vintage items and incredible antique and vintage jewelry on top of the vintage-inspired decor and handmade items. If you’ve shopped with Barbara from Arizona with the gem and mineral jewelry at Antique Alley Arkansas, you’ll have an opportunity to shop with her again this weekend. She couldn’t join us last year, so it has been a while since she has joined us. John Walk from Illinois (who wrote multiple Fenton identification books) will be joining us this weekend with his more vintage stuff – I saw lots of great quilts and linens brought in by him today. One of the Zonta Antique Show exhibitors from Minnesota will be set up right at the entrance with their antiques and vintage. I saw everything from advertising signs to jadeite to Flow Blue to Roseville pottery set up today in their booths. I posted some preview photos on Facebook tonight and will post a full preview photo album Thursday night to give y’all some eye candy to look at.
