Happy Fall, Y’all! I love bringing home Bella Rustina decorations to deck out our front porch. The mums and pumpkins were last-minute purchases from Wal-Mart and they have turned out gorgeous. I bought the pumpkin door hanger at the last Bella Rustina and the rug from one of last year’s shows.
I realized yesterday it’s starting to feel a lot like Fall and I still have an ice cream bucket full of tadpoles on my kitchen counter. I never mentioned them because I honestly never expected them to make it, but we have around 50 left. Little Caleb rescued them from my parents’ house a few weeks ago – a not-so-clever toad momma laid eggs in the ice cream bucket in the shade of my dad’s shop and it was obvious the water would evaporate before the tadpoles could hop out of there. They have been living off fish food and each other (I never knew tadpoles ate their siblings!), but if they don’t hurry up, I’ll be feeding baby toads all winter.
