We have had no air conditioning upstairs since Saturday. I am so thankful we have a good unit running downstairs. The boys and I have been having a slumber party every night sleeping on the sectional and chair in the living room. Big Caleb has been a trooper and continued to sleep upstairs where the temperature rarely drops below 90 degrees even at night. The HVAC company we normally use couldn’t come out until today so we had a smaller company come out Monday. The owner of the smaller company came out, diagnosed the problem, and for reasons I can only guess (Big Caleb thinks the guy doesn’t want to climb into our hot attic to work), the owner said the bigger company could repair our HVAC at a much cheaper price and left without charging us. The original company came out today after 5:00PM when it was too late to get the part we need and said they’ll come back at 8:00AM in the morning. Hopefully tomorrow night we’ll be back in our beds. The boys have absolutely enjoyed our “slumber party” and have been so good to go to bed when I say it’s lights out. It’s been fun, but I’m ready to get back to my bed. After sleeping on the couch, I’ve never heard my body do so much snap, crackle, and popping.
