It’s been almost two weeks and we still don’t have air conditioning upstairs. I did sleep upstairs the couple of nights during the cold front, but right now it’s 90 degrees upstairs and I just can’t stand it. I don’t know how big Caleb does it. The boys have decided the sectional is the best place to sleep so I squeeze in the middle. The boys love it.
I’ve been Facebook Marketplace shopping again. For years I’ve wanted a pretty buffet to use as an entry table. I saw the one in the photo above and fell in love with all its details. I’ve decorated it with the chalkware lady statue my mom bought for me at V Smith Estate Sales and the mirror is from a Bette Bogart Estate Sales. While I was checking out the buffet, the lady showed me this other piece and told me she would sell it to me for half price if I’d take it. I couldn’t resist. I put it in my living room until I get a chance to fix it up. The paint on the top is peeling, so it would be a perfect candidate to sand the top down to the woodgrain and seal it. The piece is screaming for some glass pulls too
Little Caleb has already decorated it for me. As soon as he saw me taking photos, he added more toys and wanted to pose. He has a big mix of vintage and new toys from Goodwill, estate sales, Wal-Mart, and even Bella Rustina.
Speaking of Bella Rustina, the next show is next weekend, July 16-18. Unless I receive a bunch of cancelations, this will be the largest show yet. I have over 210 booths filled inside the Conway Expo Center and 30+ booths in the pavilion. I wasn’t planning to rent the pavilion this time because of the hot weather, but exhibitors asked me to give it a try, and I’m glad I did! I’m getting excited for the show.
