Last weekend’s Bella Rustina was above and beyond anything I expected – We blew our previous show attendance record out of the water and also had more exhibitors than ever. The show kicked my tail, but I guess the adrenaline and excitement keep me going. I actually pulled an all-nighter Thursday night because there was so much to do. I appreciate everyone who came out to make the show a success. Last weekend was so much fun!
With everything I had to do, I’m so glad I hired my sister-in-law, Mandy, to put together the Bella Rustina selfie station. Last year after covid hit, I decided to use a selfie station rather than stamping hands for customers to return all weekend. Customers take a selfie in front of the selfie station with their phone and show their photo when they return all weekend after paying admission once. Last year Mandy was a travel nurse who traveled all over the country helping covid patients. She came back home this Spring and started Party Pop By Mandy, where she decorates events. A couple months ago Mandy and my brother helped my parents tear down an old building that collapsed during the big February snow and she harvested the wood to make the backdrop. She used Pinterest to find the smartest way to build the wall so it all breaks down beautifully. There’s no more good wood left from the building, so I’m super jealous I didn’t think of such a great idea, but glad she let me use it for Bella Rustina. She even mixed in those vintage yard flamingos I found a couple years ago in the display. I love how it turned out! We’re going to have so much fun planning the Fall and Christmas Bella Rustina selfie stations!
At some point last week while I was running Bella Rustina, Big Caleb had the air conditioning fixed. Ends up the second part the HVAC company ordered wasn’t installed, but the first part they ordered was. I’m confused by the whole thing, but I don’t guess I have to understand what transpired as long as the AC keeps working.
We’ve got a pretty good list of sales for this weekend. Here’s what I know:
