Last week started off a tad bumpy but it ended with an awesome Bella Rustina Modern Vintage Market. Our air conditioning decided to go out the weekend before the show (same unit as last year) and out of fear of the repair taking over a month like it did last year, I took the boys to my parents’. Then on that Sunday I was tired of feeling terrible and went to Urgent Care to find I had an ear infection and bad sinus infection. I’m glad they gave me shots because I did a terrible job taking the antibiotics last week. Thankfully our air conditioning was fixed by Monday afternoon. They boys stayed at my parents’ all week until Friday night. Little Caleb stayed with me the rest of the weekend. His granny brought him some hot dogs and I don’t think he (or anyone else) ever figured out the microwave at the Conway Expo Center. The first time Little Caleb brought a hot dog to the ticket room, it looked like leather on a black-charred bun and I told him to be sure to get help going forward. He talked his Aunt Mandy into buying him some honey and he proceeded to eat it right out of the jar throughout the weekend and make messes along the way. The cutest thing was when he decided to help the Renewal Ranch guys load my trailer. They were so good with him and had him thinking he was stronger than all of them. I was very concerned gas prices and inflation would kill the success of Bella Rustina last weekend, but thankfully we had a great crowd and many exhibitors had a good show. The water misters I got for the pavilion were really neat and I think they helped. I learned a lot about battling the heat that I can use for future shows. Overall it was a great event and I’m thankful for every exhibitor and customer who supported us last weekend.
