I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are in a season of life where our family gatherings are small, but meaningful. On Thanksgiving we spent the afternoon with my mother-in-law and on Sunday we got together with my parents and my brother and his wife. Everything was pretty uneventful so I have no stories this week.
I do want to mention the Cargile Auction listed in the Auction section. The auction is for Bud Martin’s estate. I got to know Bud during the Glasshopper’s Glass Shows and he was super nice and very knowledgeable about glass. I enjoyed getting to know him and I know the Arkansas Glasshoppers miss him dearly. Many expected Bud wouldn’t have any glass in his estate because he sold his collections early-on, but like any true collector, he kept a little bit to enjoy in his final years, which I absolutely appreciate.
