| Whew, March about wore me out! I had the Zonta Antique Show in Longview, Texas the first weekend, Bella on the Boulevard in Maumelle the second, and then I traveled to recruit at events in Oklahoma City, OK and Rogers, AR the following two weekends. Our camping trip last week only lasted a day because the forecast showed Friday would be rainy and cold. We had an absolute blast Thursday going canoeing. Out of nowhere Joshua decided he wanted to jump off cliffs, so anywhere we saw people jumping, we had to stop so he could jump too. Caleb brought his fishing pole and cracked us up with his frog lure. It looked so real and then he made sound effects for it as he made it “swim” through the water. He didn’t catch anything because he uses lures that are way too big, but one day he is going to catch a huge fish and it will be a great day. The water on the Buffalo is low and we had to get out of the canoe a few times, but we had an enjoyable float. We had a close call as we rounded a bend really fast and I had to make the last-second call to hit a large fallen tree in the water head-on. The impact caused us all to fall forward out of our seats, but we stayed afloat. The boys and I are pretty good canoers. 🙂 In the midst of my crazy month, Taimi talked me into buying a DTF printer and shirt press. This week the first truck dropped off a 390lb pallet and another truck brought an over-100lb box. Once I figure out how to use the equipment, I’ll be able to offer custom shirts and tote bags at each of my events instead of lugging the same designs from show to show. A hint as to what I have in mind is our best selling shirt has the phrase “I’m just a vintage soul” – Wouldn’t it be cool to have shirts that say, “I’m just a vintage (gigi, granny, momma, anything customers want)” for Mother’s Day? We’ll be able to make them as customers shop. I think it’ll be a neat way to get Bella Rustina branding out there. The next Bella Rustina Modern Vintage Market is April 24-26 in Conway, just in time for Mother’s Day. Hope you have a great Easter!
