| Yesterday was my birthday and it was the best birthday I’ve had in years! I decided Sunday I wanted to get away for my birthday so I booked a tiny house with a hot tub on Airbnb in Compton, Arkansas. Of course I had a million things to do Monday because it’s a month out from the July 10-12 Antique Alley Arkansas Antique Show, so the boys and I didn’t arrive at the tiny house until 10:30PM Monday. We stayed up late enjoying the hot tub and ended up locking ourselves out of the house somewhere around midnight. Thankfully we were able to use a credit card to break back into the house. The next morning we cooked breakfast and made smores in the fire pit before heading on our waterfall adventure. Our quest was to find the underground waterfall in Eden Falls cave, but we found so much more! Eden Falls and all the other waterfalls along the way were gorgeous. We climbed up to enter Eden Falls Cave and Joshua slipped and thought he had a near-death experience (I didn’t think he was in any danger but he surely did). It takes him a while to calm down when he gets upset, so I didn’t get any good photos of him inside Eden Falls cave, but I wanted to show how narrow the cave is. My rear was almost too big to fit and I had to get down on my hands and knees at one point to crawl under a rock along the way. We finally made it to the cave with the waterfall and it was the coolest waterfall I’ve seen yet. On the drive home, the cherry on top of my day was when a bear crossed the road in front of us in a full sprint. We had been stopping ever so often so Caleb could help turtles cross the road. I never in a million years would have expected a bear to pop out in front of us! I hope all of you dads have a wonderful Father’s Day this weekend!
