Camark Pottery Molds: My Newest Collection

by | Jun 9, 2010

I’m finally getting around to showing off the super cool Camark pottery molds that I picked out from Roy Dudley’s estate sale last Friday morning. I did a write-up last week about the history of the molds and different ways people are decorating with them here.  Yes, decorating!  The details that are so beautiful in the actual pottery is just as awesome in the molds that created them!  After purchasing 14 partial molds and 2 full molds, I was SO glad I had won the huge black shelf I bought a few weeks ago at the Just T’sN auction. Don’t they look great in the shelf?

Here are some close-ups of the molds.  One of my favorites is the rooster mold!

Anyone who knows Camark pottery knows about the big fan vase. I had to get this mold because it’s such a popular vase. I’m in search of the actual vase to display with the mold.

And here’s my absolute favorite. This partial mold created a large beautiful vase:

When I bought the one below, I thought it was a full mold at first. However it’s lacking most of its pieces.  It makes a neat display as the top piece has the sunken design and the bottom piece has the raised design.

I got a couple full molds because I think it might be cool one day to get a kiln and the supplies to actually create some pottery. Kilns usually go cheap at auctions, but I’ve never had an excuse to buy one. Check out this cool ball pitcher mold:

And the uber coolest of them all: The Camark Climbing Cat mold, which creates another favorite Camark piece.  I got *the* Camark pottery mold for the largest of 3 climbing cats. **UPDATE* I have sold this Camark mold. **

This concludes my new Camark Pottery Mold collection! 🙂 Tell me what you think!
