I ain’t gonna lie, last week was rough. I knew having Bella Rustina 5 weeks after having a baby would be challenging, but I had no idea just how many obstacles would be thrown my way. Only 3 of the 6 AC units were functioning properly when we started setting up, but this wasn’t determined and fixed until Friday evening when the AC guy came out. This meant that we had to load into an 85 degree building and then during the show Friday the temperature got to 80. Of course a bunch of people had to get on Facebook and say the AC was completely out, which was frustrating, but I set the record straight Saturday morning with a Facebook Live video showing it was 70 degrees in the building after the AC guy did his magic. On top of all this, my parents’ camper kept throwing a breaker, so they couldn’t keep cool all weekend. They were real troopers and endured it so Caleb and Joshua could stay near us. There were other things like the Fire Marshall paying us a visit (no major violations thank goodness!), phone network connectivity issues, and a bunch of people griping about paying admission on a Maumelle Facebook group that kept me on my toes, but somehow I didn’t pull all my hair out. We had a good crowd and our exhibitors brought some great stuff, so overall it was a good weekend. I bought more stuff than ever at this show. Maybe next week I can take photos and show what all I found.
