Recycled Santas

When I heard that Charles Huie was coming to Crystal Hill Antique Mall with his “recycled santas”, I wasn’t sure what to expect.  I planned to take some baked goodies over to Crystall Hill Antique Mall for the Christmas in July sale since I’m a vendor there, so I got to check out Charles’s super neat items first thing today.

Charles literally carves and paints the handles of old items to make them look like Santas. The red Fiesta dishes are the newer plates and platters, but they look amazing with Charles’s touch!

Charles is at Crystal Hill Antique Mall this weekend, July 23 – 24, from 9AM – 5PM each day.  He says he’s retiring after this year, so go check him out while you can! You can also see his items on recycledsantas.com.
