The Zonta Antique Show went really well last weekend right until the end. We found out at the last minute that the porters we hired had a “curfew” of 8:00PM, so we scrambled to find a couple college students. One was the son of a Zonta lady and he brought a friend. Around 8:00PM we noticed the college students had vanished. I looked around inside and outside of the building and couldn’t find them, so I called the one guy’s mom. I was flabbergasted to find out they had decided to go home without telling anyone. I guess the work was too much for them even though I was paying them $10/hour + tips. Robin and I then had the opportunity to step up and show some of the exhibitors we aren’t afraid to get our hands dirty (and we’re buff!). Never a dull moment in promoter world!
Speaking of promoter world, this weekend is Bella Rustina inside the concourse area of War Memorial Stadium. We once again have a fantastic exhibitor list! This afternoon Robin and I marked off booths and I was completely pumped the whole time as I thought of each exhibitor as I marked off their space. Tomorrow morning I go on TV at 6:15AM and 12:00PM on Channel 4. Setup begins at 12:00PM so any of you exhibitors reading this will receive direction from Robin until I can get there. I really can’t wait to see all the awesomeness that will be unloaded into the concourse tomorrow!

First, please know that you’re in a circle – or loop – so, you can keep driving forward to loop around and exit… instead of trying to turn around and go against the traffic flow. Second, we are likely to have a large crowd – especially on Wed. night. Please come with lots of patience and know that you’ll probably have to walk a ways. The street is very flat so that will help, but if you have a difficult time walking, consider coming with a friend who can drop you off at the driveway & then park elsewhere. Third, we will be blocking off a section in front of the house for loading. Please, DO NOT leave your car in that space to come in the house. If all goes according to plan, we should have your purchases at the curb ready to load.
We do NOT have running water at this sale house. We do have one porta-potty in the driveway, but that’s all.
This house is very big. You will need much more time than normal to see everything and to check out.
I hesitate to say this… but, I want to remind everyone that we won’t be able to tell you the price or size of items between now & when the door opens. Try zooming in on the photo; sometimes it works well enough.
We also can’t sell anything between now & 5pm Wed. night.
We are requiring that some of the larger items be moved by a professional. We will have a list posted of some who may be able to help you. We can typically help with some of the other furniture, but it will be more difficult at this sale. If you’re eyeing something large, consider bringing help or having something lined up for later during the sale or our designated times on Sun. & Mon.
