Hope everyone is having a great week! I know some of you are on Spring Break, so I hope you’re able to get out and have some family fun. Every week is “Spring Break” for Little Caleb and me — I was always told that toddlers sleep a lot. Not my guy! He’s usually still up running around right now (after 2AM) while I’m working on the weekly email, but I think we wore him out at Chic-fil-a tonight when we met up with some friends and their 2-year-old. I have to get creative to get things done every day, but it creates lots of hilarious memories. I have an extra monitor hooked up to my laptop so I have 2 displays. During the day while working on show stuff I use one screen while Little Caleb sits in my lap watching videos on the other. This does not go as smoothly as it reads because my child is like a “worm in hot ashes” and will not sit still and he gets annoyed with my arm across him while I type. I received a phone call yesterday and Little Caleb chased me through the house playing random tunes on his keyboard while I tried to get business done. It was all I could do not to laugh because I knew he was doing it intentionally. I used to try to be all professional and take phone calls while Lil’ man slept, but since he hardly sleeps, I just take calls anyway and make the best of it. I know this has nothing to do with estate sales, but people ask me all the time how I do it all, and the above is it. We just take little breaks throughout the day to play, go outside, etc., which is great for both of us. I tried keeping a daily journal, but I’m behind by like 2 months and Ashley’s Finds has memories all the way back to early 2010, so it’s becoming quite the keepsake. 🙂
I mentioned Trends & Traditions Vintage Village in Maumelle opening in a previous email. They are having their grand opening this Saturday from 10AM-5PM and Sunday from 1PM-5PM.
