I hope you were able to enjoy the amazing weather we had last Saturday! Big Caleb, C2, and I went to Springfest and had a blast! The first thing we saw when entering the event was BMX bikers doing tricks. Little Caleb was probably their biggest fan – Every time one of them would land a stunt he’d yell, wave his hands, and clap. It was really funny. Then we visited the petting zoo and Lil Man made it his mission to take animal food pellets to each and every animal from their food bowl. The pigs were the only ones who obliged, but that encouraged him to keep trying to feed the others. My favorite part that had me rolling was what happened at the blow-up slide. There were tons of people everywhere when we walked up and Little Caleb bolted toward the slide. He was halfway up the stairs when I finally got my bearings and realized there was a long line for the slide and my child had squeezed past the slide attendant without him even noticing. When the attendant noticed what happened, he laughed and shrugged; I’m sure mostly because Little Caleb was the smallest kid there by far and was laughing and hollering as he climbed and came down the slide. Of course once he got to the bottom of the slide, he immediately tried to go up again, but we grabbed him and showed him how to wait his turn for the next time. The only thing we didn’t get to do is enjoy the concessions because the lines were so long, but because of that we had a really cheap outing!
I even got to go to a couple estate sales last weekend and now I’m really fiending to go junkin’. The sales look really good for this weekend, so I may try to venture out again. Bella Rustina is in a couple weeks, so this weekend will be it before things begin to get crazy. Thankfully the show is booked with amazing exhibitors so that is one thing off my list. Now I just need to get my taxes done, turn in a few ads, order some last minute show stuff, and some other odds and ends and I’ll be ready for the show!
