Joshua Locke Norris made his arrival Saturday evening at 11:12PM. He was 8 lbs 2 oz and 21 inches long. My water broke Saturday morning but I wasn’t sure of it because contractions never started. I finally called the hospital Saturday afternoon around 4:00PM and they suggested I come in so they could check me out. We took our time finishing packing our hospital bags and arrived after 6:00PM. Sure enough, the tests showed my water had broken and the next step would be for me to be induced since contractions hadn’t begun. I was not a happy camper because Pitocin and I crossed paths during labor with Little Caleb and it was not fun. I’ll spare you all the details but I’m proud to say that I survived another Pitocin-induced labor with no epidural or any sort of pain medication. Joshua is doing amazing. He has his days and nights mixed up and all he wants to do is eat all night, so I’m typing one-handed right now. Little Caleb has been such a trooper. He stayed in the hospital with us all weekend and slept on the couch in the room with no problem. He insists that Joshua’s name is really “Mohawk Warrior” after one of his Monster Trucks. On the way home from the hospital Joshua began to whimper and Little Caleb said in the sweetest voice, “It’ll be okay little Mohawk Warrior. We are almost home.” Cutest.thing.ever! I’m over the moon with my amazing little family.
