Last weekend was so fun going to estate sales with my boys. Friday morning was a little cool so we overdressed for the occasion and were roasting by the afternoon, but still had a good time. We got a late start Saturday because Joshua was cranky and by the time he got a nap Little Caleb and I were into a movie. We still hit a couple sales and I scored an awesome Blenko Amberina bamboo vase at Bette Bogart’s sale. I have a couple other Blenko Amberina pieces so it was fun to add to my mini-collection. In case you’re wondering, Amberina is a gradient color that starts out red at the top of the piece and changes to amber/yellow at the bottom. I’ve always liked the red/yellow color combination and even used those colors in my wedding.
There’s SO much going on this weekend. On top of estate sales and auctions, here are the local events:
*Kiehl Avenue Flea Market (902 E. Kiehl Ave. in Sherwood) will have an outdoor flea market Saturday from 8AM-5PM. I gave them some tickets to give away for November 10-11 Conway Antique Alley Arkansas for one of their door prizes.
*The Painted Tree in Bryant (24351 I-30E) is having a tent sale Saturday and Sunday 10AM-6PM. The Bryant location is moving to West Little Rock at the beginning of the year, so I bet there will be some deals as their exhibitors prepare to move.
*Counting on Each Other, Inc. in Maumelle is having their Find A Treasure Community Yard Sale Saturday from 7AM until 2PM inside the Jess Odom Community Gymnasium (1100 Edgewood Dr.).
*The Semi-Annual Friends of the Library Book Sale will be Saturday from 9AM-5PM and Sunday from 1PM-5PM inside the Faulkner County Library (1900 Tyler St. in Conway).
Further away is The Junk Ranch in Prairie Grove and the Hot Springs Arts & Crafts Fair at the Garland County Fairgrounds this weekend.
