Upcoming Estate Sales and Auctions for October 11 – 14

*|MC:SUBJECT|*

I’ve mentioned before that I am the “exhibitor director” for the Zonta Antique Show in Longview, Texas. The high-end antique show has taken place for over 43 years and I’ve had the show for the last 3 years. The original director sent all the communications out by letter and he sent out invitations in July of the previous year for the show that is always the first weekend in March. Many of the exhibitors have done the show for 20 years and prefer to keep everything the same, but by now they have figured out not to expect the letter so early from me. It’s not for my lack of trying. I literally fill out most of the forms for over 50 exhibitors and it takes me forever because I don’t get to sit around that long without interruptions. I’ve literally been working on them on and off since August and finally finished them yesterday. All I lacked today was using a highlighter to mark everyone off my list to make sure I didn’t miss anyone during an ADHD moment. I had all the letters in a small crate beside the sofa with the highlighter inside. I don’t know how he did it without me noticing, but while I fed Joshua this morning, Little Caleb took out every single envelop and drew on it with the highlighter. Every. Single. One.

Little Caleb got to do some time-out while I collected my thoughts. There’s no way I have time to redo the labels, stamps, and envelopes. I finally decided to just send them as-is even though it goes against my every grain. At least all the marks were on the back of the envelopes. Things can always be worse.

On the bright side, Big Caleb had his first resident Q&A session yesterday during lunch as he campaigns to be Maumelle Mayor and he knocked it out of the park. We set up the meeting to go Facebook Live and recorded the whole one-hour meeting of questions so those who couldn’t make it could listen at their convenience. Facebook Live wanted to record Caleb sideways, but I was able to fix the video at home and re-upload it. Caleb is gradually catching up with his opponent with the number of signs he has out throughout town. With less than a month to go (Early voting begins Oct. 22 and voting is November 6), things are about to get cRaZy.

Here are the sales I know about for this weekend:

We’re having another sale at our newly opened showroom in Maumelle! If you haven’t been here before, stop by and check it out! Or if you have, come on back to see our newly featured items. We have a partial estate sale this weekend, with some unique art, antique musical instrument, tapestry, nick nacks and furniture.  Furniture includes tables, dressers, entertainment cabinets, dining sets (one is 42″ x 60″), a butcher block table (48″W x 20″D), a blanket chest, a sofa, and more. One of our most unique items in this sale is an antique 1850’s era Melodian reed organ originating from New Hampshire. This is a rare find! Another note-worthy item we have is a large (4′ x 5′) colorful acrylic painting created by award-winning master acrylic artist Ginger Cook, whose work has been featured in such note-worthy places as the National Academy of Design in New York. We also have 2 watercolor floral framed art pictures done by a local artist. There are international items – such as Middle Eastern rugs, tapestry / upholstered decorative pillow covers from Turkey, pewter beer steins from Germany, and margarita glasses from Mexico.
