I got my first sunburn of the year last Saturday. I drove to Prairie Grove, Arkansas for The Junk Ranch (an outdoor vintage market) and it didn’t disappoint. I spent all afternoon visiting with exhibitors and shopping the grounds. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. My first find of the day were the two toy tin birds (sitting on the pumpkin). They are supposed to wind up and hop around and one actually works. I mostly purchased them so I can use them for an “early bird gets the worm” type of advertisement for Bella Rustina. My next finds were all from one exhibitor. I started out finding some turkey salt and pepper shakers. I always try to find them for my mom and I gave them to her before photographing them. The peacock planter is so fun, but I’m not positive who the maker is. I was drawn to the galvanized can because it would look gorgeous with an arrangement in it. The candlestick holders aren’t what I’d normally buy, but my brother is getting married this weekend and apparently the latest wedding trend is to group a bunch of mis-matched brass candlestick holders together. I’ll do my best to get a photo of my sister-in-law’s display. My boys are the ring bearers so I may have my hands full.
