Upcoming Estate Sales and Auctions for May 6-9

Last Friday I took the boys to the Balloon Festival in Russellville. My brother and his wife live in Russellville, so we met up in hopes of getting to ride in a hot air balloon. We must have misunderstood because we never saw an opportunity to go up in a balloon, but we enjoyed watching the balloons float in from wherever they were coming from. There were tons of bouncy houses there, so the boys had a blast running from one bouncy house to the next, which made it worth the drive. Little Caleb had to bring his Alien Queen toy to see the bouncy houses. He hasn’t seen the movie to know how creepy the Alien Queen is, but he saw the toy in Wal-Mart and asked Santa for it.

It was by far his favorite Christmas gift. That thing comes with us everywhere to watch him play baseball, go visit Granny and Pa, etc. 

On Saturday I went by South Main Creative for the 501 Day festivities. 

My favorite finds were these flour sacks from Little Rock. I assume the subject matter is cock fighting, which isn’t the best subject matter, but the colors and Little Rock stamp were enough to win me over. I also picked up some Sesame Street Golden Books. One is about Bert & Ernie going in their attic and finding antiques and it’s adorable. If I remember, I’ll share my favorite parts of the book next week.
