Every year we join the First United Methodist Church’s Trunk or Treat event in Maumelle and every year I wait until the day-of to figure out what our design will be. This time I was really down to the wire and then remembered I got a blow-up alligator with that Mardi Gras stuff I bought back in February. I used a blue tarp to line the bottom of the Tahoe, hung some table-runners my mother-in-law gave me to create that swampy-feel, stuffed green tissue-paper here and there for more textures, and threw in a few white balloons for… bubbles? Rocks? It was a hit, especially once little Caleb got the idea to sit in the back seat and make the alligator jump out at people. He and his friend Mack had the best time scaring kids and moms.
If you’re on Pennsylvania Trading Company’s email list, you received the email a few days ago announcing their retirement. They posted their announcement on their website. I hate to see them go. Their sales were always top-notch and Emily was always amazing about sending me their sale details each week. I found hope in their announcement that this won’t be the end of seeing them around. They mentioned they will continue shopping estate sales and will be looking for ways to sell their collections so they can make room to buy more. You know what I’m thinking – They need to join Bella Rustina sometime! I haven’t invited them yet, but I’ll be working on them. Many estate sale agents have joined Bella Rustina over the years. Lori from ReHome ReSale and the ladies from RunaroundSue Estate Sales plan to join us for the November 18-20 Bella Rustina inside the Conway Expo & Event Center plus open-air pavilion.
I’ve been so crazy busy lately I haven’t mentioned Bella Rustina, but it is rocking and rolling. This will most likely be my biggest show yet with over 350 booths. I have over 100 exhibitors on the waitlist and that number grows daily. The exhibitors I have coming will bring everything from vintage to handmade to boutique. I’m sharing a small sample of the exhibitors on the Facebook and Instagram pages leading up to the November 18-20 show.
