Whew! Last week was a doozy of a week with what felt like a million meetings and Christmas get-togethers. Friday night was the Maumelle Tree Lighting. Even as cold as it was, the boys couldn’t resist the petting zoo. They loved the duck in the photo because it had a tuft of feathers on top of its head. On Saturday we had Pancakes with Santa and the boys got photos with the Santa who has been their Santa since they were born. Every year I put their Santa photo in a Hallmark frame ornament so we can all look back at previous years.
Christmas is upon us and the January 3-5 Antique Alley Arkansas Antique Show is right behind it. I’m working on submitting all the advertising and gathering exhibitors now. I always look forward to the antique show because it’s the show I started out promoting and many of the exhibitors who join us now joined us back in 2012 in the beginning. Exhibitors will travel from far and wide to join us from around 12 states.
Anyone who has talked to me about the new Ashley’s Finds website knows I’m super disappointed with how it turned out last year when I hired a company to build it for me. I paid over $6,000 and $150/month this past year and I still find myself up late on Wednesday nights putting this email together (It is almost 3AM now) as I have to reformat each listing that has been submitted. I told the website company today I’m done. This means I have to hustle and rebuild my original Ashley’s Finds website. The current website has some bells and whistles that I’m not sure you want (And I’ll soon have to pay an additional $150/year for). I’ve created a survey that’s only 3 questions and would really help me with how I go forward with AshleysFinds.com. I know how the estate sale/auction agents feel because I get questions and complaints every week. Then I struggle to read what is submitted on the back-end.
