Upcoming Estate Sales and Auctions for February 8 – 11
These are the sales for the upcoming week as of Thursday, February 8, 2024
Y’all crack me up. Last week I didn’t tell a story before listing out the sales for the week and I had people checking in on me. I appreciate the care! I had a super busy week last week and really just wanted to go to bed. But boy, I had an eventful week! On Thursday I got my hair “did” and my hair lady wanted to try something new. She has dyed my hair for 15 years, so I just let her do her thing. Holy moly – that woman turned my roots bright yellow! She worked on my hair an extra hour but didn’t achieve much. I didn’t realize how bad it was until I sent a photo to my mom and she asked, “Will that wash out after a few washes?” Later that evening, Erin and Jared were helping me with parade props for the SoMardi Gras parade and I asked Erin what she thought. She said, “Well, there are some bright yellow spots…” and I decided I had to do something. I had some light pink hair dye at home and decided it would do the trick. Unfortunately it didn’t cover well so on Friday I went to Wal-Mart and purchased dark pink hair color and dyed my hair again. My hair is so bright pink, but it is a beautiful color! I was standing in line at Chick-Fil-A today and a nice man told me he thinks it’s neat how girls are dying their hair different colors because he thinks it’s pretty. His compliment made my day. This isn’t a permanent color, so I’ll probably go back to blonde in a few weeks after the color fades.

The timing of my hair fiasco is perfect because this weekend’s SoMardi Gras parade theme is “Under the Sea” and I plan to dress like a mermaid. Erin, Jared, and I have worked hard on our props and we can’t wait to show off our mermaid, coral, jellyfish, and more decorating my truck. I ordered a mermaid skirt off Amazon and I discovered after trying it on that it is tight at my knees, so I may be shuffling down South Main Street during the parade while I hand out free passes to the April 5-8 Bella Rustina. 😀

We’ve got some great sales this weekend. Here’s what I know:
