Speaking of spending money, I found more items than usual to purchase from this show. The signs Perspective Designs brought spoke to me so I had to have a couple. I stole photos from their website because the porter guys may have buried the signs in my trailer and I’m honestly afraid their condition may not be as great as it was when I bought them. I also bought some of the cool metal flowers made by Perspective Design. I couldn’t resist three crewel pieces Robin found while helping me during setup. I need to add my latest crewel finds to my staircase collection. I may be close to covering the whole wall!

Little Caleb spent the weekend working on and off for the “tamale lady”, Maria. He cracked me up when after making $20, he told me he had made as much money as he wanted to make so he could buy some fishing lures he was eyeing. I told him that’s not how a job works and encouraged him to help Maria more. I’m not sure who Caleb and Joshua were buying lures from all weekend, but I bet we paid half their booth rent. I say “we” because Joshua kept asking for money for food and used the change he got to buy lures too. My kids really know how to work the system when I’m busy.

Yesterday we watched Inside Out 2 in theater. It is a neat movie addressing anxiety and other “grown up” emotions kids get when they hit puberty. Anxiety is the antagonist in the movie, and in my opinion, in real life. I appreciate how it is presented in the movie to kids to help them recognize and hopefully navigate it.

Joshua lost his first tooth today on our way to Chuck-E-Cheese. Above is a photo for all y’all who wonder if my kids ever wear shirts after the last few photos I’ve shared. My kids know true comfort around the house, but I make them dress properly in public. 🙂
