I had a full morning of productivity today. After my workout I went to Little Rock to meet with Chloe from Arkansas Business magazine to talk about how events impact cities and local businesses. I’m very excited Chloe is bringing this topic to light. She is gathering information from coordinators of different event sizes for her article. Events like Bella Rustina impact cities because of the sales taxes gathered from admission, items sold at the show, and items purchased in town by travelers. When Bella Rustina is happening, local businesses, hotels, restaurants, gas stations, and more receive a boost from thousands of customers and 200+ exhibitors. The revenue earned by local exhibitors and myself is re-invested back into the community. Antique and vintage shop owners tell me they see an uptick in shoppers during show weekends because customers shop at local shops after shopping Bella Rustina. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be recognized for my small contribution to boosting the economy. I look forward to reading the article! I’ll share the link once it is published.
After the interview with Chloe I drove to Mayflower to purchase the vintage bicycle above from one of my exhibitors. She no longer needs it for her booth displays and now I get to use it for my selfie stations and decorating for the shows. I’ve been drooling over that bike for many shows now and I can’t wait to get creative with it.
The July 12-14 Bella Rustina is next weekend in Conway. Preparations are going well. The exhibitors coming are some of the most talented exhibitors I’ve worked with in a while! You know when a new exhibitor asks how tall the Expo Center ceilings are because they are planning to bring a 15′ tall house frame to set up their booth, they’ll have a humdinger of a display! Their business name is Perspective and they’re coming all the way from New Mexico. They set up at the Marburger Farm Antique Show during Round Top, which is one of the more prestigious locations. I have numerous other over-the-top exhibitors coming this time too. I’m really pumped!
I hope you all have a wonderful 4th! Here are the sales I know about for this weekend:
